We offer theophostics prayer counseling at ESCF, in which we ask Jesus to shed light on past experiences to reveal the truth to set you free. Theophostics Prayer Ministry was founded by Dr. Ed Smith by divine revelation from our exceedingly great reward, El Shaddai. It is based on the principle that when negative emotions are stirred up in a present situation, the emotions are tied to a misinterpretation of a past experience and are being brought up again to a similar experience in the present. When the lie believed in the former memory is exposed, and Jesus reveals His Truth to the situation, the person can experience immediate and complete liberty and healing of the painful memory.
For example, a child feels hopelessness and failure when repeatedly told that his efforts are not good enough. The parent's intention may be to encourage the child to preform better, but the child may interpret the feedback as invalidation. Then a present emotional response to a situation such as earning a B on a test instead of an A results in the same feelings of hopelessness, failure, shame and guilt that can be traced back to the earlier event.
We also offer prayer counseling for premarital couples, married couples, and personal matters dealing with depression, oppression, healing, and grief.
